Ooitech Attends First Perovskite and Tandem Cell (Central China) Industry Forum in Wuhan

Ooitech recently attended the first Perovskite and Tandem Cell (Central China) Industry Forum held in Wuhan, an event that brought together leading figures from across the photovoltaic sector to explore the future of perovskite technology.
The forum opened with addresses from Mr. Zhang Yuanqin, Director of the High-Tech Division of the Hubei Provincial Department of Science and Technology; Professor Han Hongwei of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and founder of Hubei Wonder Solar Co., Ltd.; and Professor Chen Wei of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and founder of Wuhan Jiuyao Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd.
In his remarks, Professor Han expressed confidence that, by staying true to original aspirations, focusing on core innovation, and advancing collaboratively, the industry can overcome every challenge and let perovskite technology shine. He envisioned a future where generating electricity from solar power becomes more cost-effective than burning coal, making photovoltaics the world's most inclusive energy source and advancing the goal of energy equity in support of China's dual-carbon targets and human sustainable development.
The Perovskite Industry Branch of the China International Science and Technology Cooperation Association presented the 2026 Mid-Year Global Perovskite Industry Analysis Report. Leading domestic perovskite enterprises and research institutions shared the latest technologies and development directions. Perovskite cells were highlighted for their broad market potential in smart cities, wearables, sports and health, outdoor applications, and space photovoltaics.
