Quick answer: The Ooitech automatic tape sticking machine applies adhesive tape automatically on a solar panel production line. It works with tape widths around 2 mm and 10 mm, handles working areas to about 2,500 mm by 1,580 mm with an 800 mm and 1,400 mm allowance, runs on 380 V, and holds a positioning repeatability near 0.5 mm with an application variance around 20%. Tape is used to hold strings and busbar in position between layup and lamination, and to insulate where a joint would otherwise sit against the backsheet. A tape that is skewed or short still passes visual inspection but shifts during the vacuum stage of lamination. That is why the placement tolerance, not the application speed, is the specification worth checking.

Automatic Tape Sticking Machine for Solar Panel Production Line
Professional Adhesive Tape Application Solution by Ooitech
The Ooitech Automatic Tape Sticking Machine is an advanced automated solution designed for solar panel production lines, engineered to apply adhesive tape on cell strings with exceptional speed, precision, and consistency. This machine eliminates the need for manual tape application, significantly reducing labor costs while dramatically improving production efficiency and product quality.
The equipment automatically feeds modules in and out of the workstation, applies adhesive tape at precisely programmed positions, and handles various tape types including release paper tape with automatic recycling, Sigang thin tape, and other thick tapes. With configurable 2-head or 4-head setups, the machine adapts to diverse production requirements while maintaining a cycle time of 25 seconds or less. The tape application position deviation is controlled within ±2mm, ensuring consistent quality without causing secondary damage to solar cells.
This machine is fully compatible with a wide range of solar module formats, supporting module sizes from 1580mm to 2500mm in length and 800mm to 1400mm in width. It seamlessly integrates into existing production lines for manufacturing PERC, TOPCon, IBC, ABC, HPBC, shingled, and other mainstream solar panel technologies using G1, M6, M10, and M12 cell formats.
