Multiple Colombian Customers Adopt Ooitech Solar Panel Production Lines
A growing number of Colombian customers have recently adopted solar panel production lines supplied by Ooitech, marking a notable expansion of photovoltaic manufacturing capability across the Andean region.
According to project updates, multiple manufacturers in cities including Bogotá, Medellín and Barranquilla have placed orders ranging from 30MW semi-automatic lines to 200MW fully automatic lines. The delivered equipment covers the complete module assembly process, including laser cutting machines, tabber stringers, layup stations, EL testers, laminators, framing machines, and IV sun simulators.
Market Background
Colombia's solar market has accelerated over the past two years, driven by national renewable energy auctions and rising industrial electricity demand. Local module assembly is viewed as a strategic step toward reducing import dependency and creating skilled employment.
Project Highlights
Support for mainstream cell formats including M10 and G12
Compatibility with PERC, TOPCon and bifacial module processes
On-site installation, commissioning and operator training delivered in Spanish-friendly documentation
Localized after-sales response for Latin American clients
Industry Outlook
Industry observers note that Colombia is becoming a regional hub for PV module assembly, with output increasingly serving domestic utility projects as well as neighboring markets such as Ecuador, Peru and Panama. The adoption of standardized production lines is expected to improve module quality consistency and lower the levelized cost of solar energy across the region.
Further deliveries to Colombian clients are reportedly scheduled through the coming quarters.
