SolarOne Bahrain Embraces Automation with Ooitech Tabber Stringer

Back in 2016, Bahrain-based solar manufacturer SolarOne made a decisive move toward factory automation by introducing a fully automatic tabber stringer supplied by Ooitech. The deployment marked a turning point for the company's production capabilities.

Before the upgrade, SolarOne relied heavily on manual and semi-automatic processes for cell soldering, which limited throughput and introduced inconsistencies in solder quality. The fully automatic tabber stringer changed that. Once commissioned, the machine handled cell feeding, flux application, ribbon soldering and string output in one continuous workflow — cutting down labor costs and raising daily output significantly.
