Armenia 300MW Solar Panel Production Line Project 2021
Armenia Launches 300MW Solar Panel Production Line
A photovoltaic factory in Armenia commissioned a 300MW fully automatic solar panel production line in 2021, significantly boosting the country's domestic solar module manufacturing capability.

The project included a complete set of production equipment covering all key stages of solar panel assembly — from cell cutting and stringing to lamination, framing, and final testing. Full technical training was also provided to local staff, enabling the factory to operate independently and maintain consistent output quality.

Armenia has been steadily expanding its renewable energy portfolio in recent years, driven by favorable solar irradiance levels and government incentives. The establishment of a 300MW-scale production facility represents a notable milestone, reducing the country's reliance on imported solar modules and creating local manufacturing jobs.
The production line features a high degree of automation, minimizing manual intervention and improving both throughput and product consistency. With 300MW of annual capacity, the factory is positioned to supply panels for utility-scale, commercial, and residential solar projects across the region.

This project highlights the growing trend of emerging markets investing in localized solar panel manufacturing infrastructure to meet rising domestic demand for clean energy.
