Ooitech Powers Egypt's First Solar Panel Factory in Red Sea Suez – Power Field Solar Module Production Line
Power Field Launches First Solar Panel Factory in Red Sea Suez, Egypt

In 2015, Power Field officially launched the first solar module manufacturing facility in the Red Sea Suez region of Egypt, marking a significant milestone for local solar energy manufacturing in North Africa.
Project Background
As Egypt continued to expand its renewable energy ambitions, Power Field recognized the strategic opportunity to establish domestic solar panel production capabilities. The Red Sea Suez location was selected for its proximity to key logistics corridors and growing regional demand for solar energy solutions.
Equipment and Material Supply
The factory was equipped with a complete semi-automatic solar panel production line, covering key processes from cell cutting and stringing to lamination and framing. All production equipment and raw materials were supplied and delivered to ensure a smooth factory setup and commissioning.
Technical Support and Process Training
Beyond equipment delivery, comprehensive on-site technical support was provided to guide factory installation, equipment debugging, and production line commissioning. Dedicated process training programs were conducted for Power Field's local engineering and production teams, enabling them to independently operate and maintain the production line with confidence.
Project Significance
The successful launch of this facility demonstrated that emerging markets in Africa and the Middle East can build competitive solar module manufacturing capabilities with the right equipment, materials, and knowledge transfer. Power Field's factory has since contributed to Egypt's growing solar energy infrastructure and local job creation.
