###### DC Withstand Voltage (Hipot) Testing

The hipot test applies a high DC voltage between the solar module's active circuitry and its frame or backsheet to verify that the electrical insulation can withstand voltage stresses far exceeding normal operating conditions. The standard test voltage is typically calculated as 2 x rated working voltage + 1,000 V.

###### Insulation Resistance Testing

This test measures the resistance between the module's live conductors and its enclosure or frame by applying a constant DC voltage (typically 500 V or 1,000 V) for a specified duration. A sufficiently high insulation resistance value confirms that the module's dielectric barriers are intact and will prevent leakage current during operation.

###### Ground Continuity Testing

The ground continuity test verifies the quality of the electrical connection between the module's grounding point and its metallic frame by passing a high current (up to 60 A or 80 A) through the grounding path.
