Algeria PV Company Acquires 3A IV Tester and Environmental Test Chamber from Ooitech

In 2017, a photovoltaic company based in Algeria placed an order with Ooitech for advanced solar panel testing equipment, including a 3A grade IV tester and a temperature-humidity-freeze environmental test chamber. The procurement was part of the company's effort to build up in-house quality control and reliability testing for its solar module production.

3A Grade IV Tester

The 3A grade solar simulator and IV tester is designed to measure the electrical performance of solar panels under standard test conditions (STC). The "3A" classification means the equipment meets the highest standards in spectral match, spatial uniformity, and temporal stability according to IEC 60904-9. This allows the Algerian manufacturer to accurately characterize power output, current-voltage curves, and efficiency of each module before shipment.

Environmental Test Chamber

The environmental test chamber supports temperature cycling, humidity exposure, and freeze testing in accordance with IEC 61215 standards. These tests simulate years of real-world weathering in a compressed timeframe, helping identify potential defects such as delamination, cell cracking, or junction box failures before products reach the field.

This equipment delivery reflects the growing demand for solar panel testing infrastructure across North Africa as the region continues to expand its renewable energy capacity.
